This is an M1 Garand drill rifle SA 2174234.

Hammer: C46008-3 SA
Safety: HRA
Markings: Stamp on bayonet lug; Proof marking on stock; Stamped "P" and "O" on gas cylinder screw; Stamped "12" on follower; Cast marking on trigger.
Other Information: Broken op-rod spring that is partially stuck and rusted into place in the op-rod; Lower band is missing the pin; Lock-bar rear sight and parts; Banded pattern on follower arm.
The wood of this rifle is GI wood that has been heavily lacquered and has some imperfections.
The metal of this rifle has all been chrome-plated, and all the metal of the inner parts of this rifle is severely rusted.
This rifle is non-functional and doesn't fire. It has not been demilitarized to current industry standards, and should not be repaired into a functional rifle. The risk is fully assumed by the customer and gunsmith in the event this decision is made.
