This is an all correct Model 03-A3 rifle with S-Stock Remington Z3871742.

The "Z" prefix denotes there is a duplicate serial number, which is rarer for Remington 03-A3s than other manufacturers. The barrel of this rifle is a 4-groove RA barrel dated 6-43 with good headspacing. The muzzle and throat gauges are 0.5 and 1.5, respectively. The bore of this rifle is in good condition with little to no rust and/or pitting, and the crown is in good condition as well. All of the parts on this rifle, as well as the stock, are original Remington parts, and the metal of this rifle retains approximately 80% of the original finish. The front sight of this rifle has an original Remington front sight cover as well. The wood of this rifle is GI wood with few imperfections and possesses the proof and DOD markings in addition to more stamps on the bottom and the "FJA" cartouche on the side. Stampings of "R" can be found on some of the bolt parts, safety, on/off switch, front and rear sights, front sling and stacking swivels, and upper band. A stamp of "RP" can be found on the rear sling swivel.
