This is a Model 03-A3 rifle Smith-Corona with S-stock 3623857.

This rifle has an original six-grooved Smith-Corona barrel dated SC 1-43 with the proof mark clearly visible. The muzzle gauge is a 0, and the throat gauge is a 1.  The bore of this rifle is in okay condition with little rust/pitting. The crown of this rifle is in okay condition. It has a "1" and a punch mark on the underside of the bolt handle, and a "P" stamped on the under side of the barrel. The stock has an "FJA" cartouche, a proof marking stamped on the stock, and a J stamped near proof mark.  The wood of this rifle is moderately worn GI wood with some imperfections.
