This is a Springfield Model 1903 rifle 270035.
This rifle has an originial barrel marked "S.A./1-07." The TE gauges at 4 and the Muzzle gauges at 2. It has a shiny bore - headspace is okay. One of first rifles assembled at Springfield Armory in 1907 in .30-'06 caliber. Not an alteration rifle. Rifle has been overhauled and re-assembled from mixed parts. No finish. Unmarked scant stock. Early springfield. Straight handle bolt, marked "s" beneath safety lug.
