Springfield Model 1903 rifle 414144
This low number receiver probably has its original barrel, marked SA 3-10. The Muzzle gauges at 2+. The Throat gauges at 3. Metal has been refinished and has the black finish. Bolt was made by Rock Island and is marked NS on safety lug. It has ordnance stamp on bolt root. Handle is straight. G658 etched on root. Parts are mixed vintage. Early thin trigger; milled trigger guard. Floor plate stamped B. Buttstock is S style and has been sanded. No visible cartouche or proof mark. High hump hand guard. Stock and hand guard in very good condition. Rear sight made by Rock Island. (All information is per tag).
