DESCRIPTION
Remington Model 1917 Bayonet with Scabbard
Produced by Remington Arms - Union Metallic Cartridge Co. in Bridgeport Connecticut. This bayonet was produced for the Model 1917 Rifle and Several Trench Shotguns.
Bayonet
Blade is Blued 1” and Marked 1917 over Remington on one side.
Ordnance Shell and Flame property mark over U.S. on other side. With Eagle head over #30 Inspector mark. Very little of the X is able to be seen to show that the Blade passed the bend test.
Broad Arrow in a C at the button on the Pommel.
Scabbard
GF in oval on metal near staples- General Fireproofing of Youngstown, Ohio
J.V.K. stamped in leather.
