DESCRIPTION
Model 1917 Eddystone Service Grade 23770
Rifle has an RIA barrel - the barrel is marked RIA over the ordnance escutcheon. Below that, is the barrel proof, but there is no date. Remington supplied the barrel blanks. They were turned over to Savage Arms for sizing. They were sent to Rock Island Arsenal for finishing prior to assembly. The muzzle gauges at 1. The throat gauges at 4+. This bore of this rifle is good. There is a proof marking and AAM stamp on the stock.
