DESCRIPTION
M1 Carbine NPM 1487387
This carbine has NOT been inspected or test fired due to the significant amount of cosmoline.
The approximate production period for this carbine was February 1943 - September 1943 making it a 1st block serial number. There is an oval cut in the stock. The barrel marked Underwood 6-43. There is a proof mark and a very faint cartouche (unreadable) on the stock.
