M1 Carbine NPM 1975639

This carbine has NOT been inspected or test fired due to the ammount of cosmoline.

This National Postal Meter was one of the 413,017 carbines that was manufactured by NPM. The carbine has an Underwood barrel. It falls under the second assigned serial number block. It has a a late “pot belly” M2 stock with “low wood.” There is an oval cut in the stock. The number “28” and a “U” is marked on the stock.
