U.S. M1873-1884 Socket Bayonet
This bayonet came from the John M. Browning Memorial Museum - it was received in 1955 by the museum. The manufacture period for this bayonet is 1873 - 1893. It has blued steel and a triangular blade with grooved sides and tops. It is a U.S. stamped blade. The catalog number is RIA-B72A. The socket length is 3 inches. It is in good condition. These bayonets were used on U.S. Springfield rifles.
