The bore of this rifle is Dull with some pitting and worn lands

Receiver: Some pitting but otherwise in very good shape

Bolt: Complete and serviceable with an “E” on the bolt handle

Fair-to-Good condition 1898 Krag rifle. Minor surface pitting, mechanically sound with fair military finish on metal parts. Stamping on the receiver is strong and action functions smoothly. Barrel headspaces and reads a 1+ at the muzzle. The bore is dull with some pitting visible throughout. Very Good 1901 stock with minor dents and dings. The stock has a 1901 cartouche and a serif “P” proof mark behind the trigger guard. The sighting system on the rifle is the later 1901 variant.
