Springfield Armory Service Grade. All metal parts are in Very good to Excellent condition w/ same condition military finish. REC has SA 11-63 electo-penciled on front-right leg, suggesting an arsenal rebuild at SA was completed on this rifle. Letter “L” stamped very cleanly at the end of the original SN. BBL is SA 8-63 w/ bight bore and good headspace. Op rod and trigger group are both post-war. Stock has ½” x ½” DoD stamp and circled serif P proof mark. Bedding compound is present under the bearing surfaces of the trigger group. “55” stamped cleanly on comb of stock near the butt plate.
