Markings & Other information: Navy Match Rifle  

This rifle is in overall excellent condition.  The receiver has been refinished (Not by CMP).  The barrel has an excellent muzzle reading and a bright bore.  The stock is a late replacement with no markings except as noted below.  Parts are from mixed manufacturers.  

Navy match  upgrades include: 1) Bolt-polished at all the contact points.  2) Barrel-Chambered in 7.62mm (No sleeve) and polished on the bottom where the op-rod makes contact.  3) Hammer-Polished on top at the contact point.  4) Gas Cylinder-Ring reamed out to prevent barrel contact, tail trimmed horizontally at angels to prevent handguard contact. 5) Stock and handguards polly coated to prevent moisture absorption and the stock has been bedded with the barreled receiver.  The bedding prevents the use of the bullet guide spacer. 6)   The stock, trigger floorplate and bolt are marked with the last 4 digits of the serial number (4909).  7) Lower Band-Trimmed to prevent op-rod contact.  8) Both handguards are bonded to the lower band with the whole being bonded to the barrel.
