Markings & Other information: Springfield Armory M1C/D Service Grade with a grenade launcher sight base.
This rifle is in overall very good condition. It is a hybrid of sorts having an M1C unplugged sniper receiver and the barrel of an M1D sniper rifle. In addition the late replacement stock has been fitted with a grenade launcher sight base. The barrel has good muzzle and throat readings and a bright bore which shows some wear from use. The stock shows some cosmetic issues with a few dents and dings but is in otherwise good condition. Parts are from mixed manufacturers with a few SA parts being identified.The long butt plate screw is damaged and could not be removed.
